
Differently Abled Teen Becomes First in Community to Qualify for Basic Water Rescue Certification

A determined teenager has become the first differently abled youth in the community to successfully pass and earn a Basic Water Rescue certification. The achievement highlights perseverance, skill, and the importance of making lifesaving training accessible to everyone.
At just 16 years old, Alex achieved a milestone that inspired family, friends, and instructors alike. After weeks of dedicated training, Alex became the first differently abled teen in the community to pass and be certified in Basic Water Rescue.
Despite facing physical challenges, Alex completed all required assessments, including water safety techniques, rescue procedures, and emergency response skills. Trainers praised the teen’s determination, focus, and positive attitude throughout the program.
“I wanted to prove that ability is not defined by limitations,” Alex said after receiving the certification. The accomplishment serves as a reminder that with the right support and opportunities, anyone can learn lifesaving skills and make a difference in their community.
